2013 ReferNet Romania - National contact point

The REFERNET Romanian National Access Point currently hosted by the National Research Institute in the field of Labour and Social Protection, on the basis of an agreement signed with the CEDEFOP Centre of the European Commission in 2008, serves as a platform for information and forum for debate for all those sharing an interest in Vocational Education and Training/VET, be they decision makers, social partners, academics, journalists, teachers, educators and of course the general public.

Clustered around the www.refernet.ro website the Contact point provides information on:

It is worth to remember for all those interested in the topic of VET that, between the 9th and the 10th of April, the National Research Institute in the field of Labour and Social Protection will host the working meeting of the CENTRAL EUROPE group of the Refernet Network. The chosen venue of the meeting will be the MINERVA hotel in the heart of Bucharest and the program of the meting will run from 9 am to 5 pm on the first day and from 9 am to 12 on the second day. Apart from the technical topics to be discussed there will be an interesting presentation on the state of VET related investment in Romanian enterprises.
The core staff of the Refernet Access Point will also participate in the REFERNET Plenary meeting to take place in Thessaloniki Greece in October this year.
We do also foresee a certain number of meetings of our National Consortium, which includes a broad range of organizations having an interest in the development of VET at national level, their full list being just a click away.
Those interested in the evolutions of the Romanian labour market, its past trends and its prospects for the future will be more than pleased to find on our website, under the heading of “Statistics & Forecasting” a fully updated report on Labour Market Trends, with an archive that goes back for a full four quarters, thereby providing a vivid picture of an entire calendar year of evolutions in related policies and relevant indicators.
If you do find all the above of any interest or simply if you want to write us, give us new or updated information or simply if you have questions relating to VET, the labour market and even the general economy, do not hesitate to write to:
